Sound-Tech Xpress Door Systems include door, frame and approved seal systems with a certified label. The STC 46-54 Systems are over 30% lighter than most sound doors of equal STC rating in the industry allowing standard weight hinges to be used. All products have been successfully tested to the required ASTM standards, including ASTM E90, ASTM E1332-90 and ASTM E413. All Sound-Tech Xpress Doors Systems are in compliance with HMMA 865-03 and SDI 128 specifications. No special kerf frames or cam lift hinges are required and all sound seal equipment is included.

Ceco's Sound Tech System is designed for mid-range and high-range sound intensity attenuation. Sound Tech products can be used in a wide range of applications, including those where custom sound doors might be considered cost-prohibitive. With acoustical ratings from STC 39 to STC 52, Sound Tech provides cost effective performance with standard 1-3/4" thick door appearance and function. 

1-3/4" Ceco Sound Tech doors are available in single or double swing with astragal seal. Doors are furnished prepared for Cylindrical or Mortise Locks, optional acoustical glazing is available up to 300 sq. inches. Sound Tech is complete with welded frame, perimeter gaskets, door bottom seal and threshold. System utilizes heavy weight butt hinges. (Cam lift-type hinges are not required.) 

 
 
The Sound Transmission Classification (STC) is a rating system designed to correlate subjective impressions of sound insulation qualities of different structures for building design purposes. Sound Tech is tested in conformance with the STC performance standards ASTM E90-90 and ASTM E413-87.
